Butler Police1:48 p.m. Thursday — Sandra Czachowski, 55, was arrested after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend at the couple’s apartment on the 600 block of West New Castle Street.The victim told police that Czachowski hit him in the face, scratched his arm and held a box cutter to his throat, according to court documents. Officers noted that he had scratches on his arms.The defendant later admitted that she kicked the victim in the face and held the box cutter to him, police said.Czachowski was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,000 bond.Wednesday — Jonathan D. Felock, 39, who is homeless, was arrested for felony shoplifting in the alleged theft of a quart of chocolate milk and an apple snack cake at the Butler Food Mart on Center Avenue. The merchandise is valued at $2.98.Felock is facing a felony in the case because he has prior shoplifting convictions. He was arraigned on the retail theft charge, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bond.Only two weeks earlier, police arrested the defendant for allegedly stealing food items from the same store on three separate occasions Oct. 15.

Butler Twp Police5:45 p.m. Wednesday — An unknown thief stole $122 worth of groceries that were in the bed of a pickup truck at the Butler Commons’ Dollar General store. The victim told police that he had parked the truck and left for about 10 minutes. When he returned, the groceries were gone.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

State Police, ButlerWednesday — Police reported that a 16-year-old Ford City, Armstrong County, boy was charged with stealing $2,000 in currency from the home of a 70-year-old woman on Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. The money was taken between Oct. 1 and 23.Police did not release the name of the boy, who is charged with theft in Butler County juvenile court.3:14 p.m. Monday — Donald E. Vargo, 45, of Butler and Jocelyn M. Bradford, 37, of New Brighton, Beaver County, were arrested on charges they used a Winfield Township couple’s credit card to make an unauthorized withdrawal.Both defendants were arraigned on misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen property and access device fraud. They were placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond each following arraignment.10:39 p.m. Oct. 27 — At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Center Township. The wreck occurred when a car driven by Michael P. Webb, 31, of New Castle struck another car while turning into the Kwik Fiil at Route 8 and Mercer Road.Webb was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. A police report noted that the other driver, Richard L. Miller, 44, of Butler and Webb’s passenger, Donald E. Delu, 34, of Butler, suffered minor injuries, but neither was taken to the hospital.All of the occupants were wearing seat belts. Police cited Webb for careless driving.1:22 a.m. Oct. 25 — An Allegheny County man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Kiester Road at Cameron Drive in Slippery Rock Township. Police said the suspect, John Camello, 22, of Bellevue, was pulled over for a traffic violation.

State Police, Mercer8:10 p.m. Oct. 24 — A Butler County man lost control of his car after hitting a deer and crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 south in Deer Creek Township. Hong Zhang, 53, of Valencia, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
