5:13 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Andrew P. Moulton, 44, of Seven Fields rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped on Route 422 at Mercer Road. Michele Saxfield, 45, of Butler was the other driver. Following the impact, Moulton's car veered onto a hillside.

Two female passengers in Saxfield's car suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Police cited Moulton for careless driving and driving an unregistered vehicle.

12:07 p.m. Oct. 2 — Tina M. Daniels, 39, of Lyndora was caught with suspected marijuana and other contraband following a welfare check on Route 8. She is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

4:55 p.m. Saturday — A minivan driven by David A. Patton, 42, of Butler rear-ended a car on Route 68 in Forward Township. Tori L. Bac, 32, of Carnegie, Allegheny County, was the other driver. Police cited Patton for driving too fast for conditions.12 p.m. Friday — One person was apparently hurt in a three-vehicle wreck in Slippery Rock Township. The crash happened when a sport utility vehicle driven by Douglas J. Knox, 64, of Slippery Rock rear-ended a pickup truck driven by Andrew Baysura, 64, of Fort Myers, Fla., which was stopped to make a left turn on Route 173 at Armco Park.Following the crash, a car driven by Dylan A. Sandidge, 18, of Slippery Rock, swerved to avoid hitting the back of the SUV and struck a tree and mailbox. Evelyn M. Knox, 97, of Slippery Rock, a passenger in the SUV, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a possible injury.Police cited Knox for following too closely to another vehicle.9:02 p.m. Thursday — Jacob L. McCloskey, 18, of Butler was hurt when he swerved his car to avoid a deer and struck a tree along Glenwood Way in Center Township. He suffered a minor injury. Police cited McCloskey for driving too fast for conditions.8:30 p.m. Thursday — Joshua L. Ross, 28, of Parker lost control of his car and crashed on North Riverview Drive in Hovey Township, Armstrong County. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unspecified injuries. Police cited Ross for disregarding traffic lanes.3:12 p.m. Thursday — Carol A. Durbin, 77, of East Butler and Shayna M. Whitehead, 26, of Butler were injured when cars they were driving collided on Valvoline Drive just west of Grant Avenue in East Butler. Both women were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with suspected minor injuries.Police said Durbin was cited for a stop sign violation and Whitehead was cited for driving a vehicle without insurance.6:51 a.m. Oct. 21 — An SUV driven by Denise M. Herbe, 53, of Fombell, Beaver County, struck a car driven by Kara Bisceglia, 46, of Mars on Route 68 just west of Brownsdale Road in Forward Township Herbe was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.6:24 a.m. Oct. 21 — Steve Laderer, 49, of Harrisville was hurt when the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer and then a ditch on Route 8 in Mercer Township. He was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries.4 p.m. Oct. 19 — Renee Kutsch, 48, of Pittsburgh was cited for criminal mischief after police said she ran a vehicle into a victim’s all-terrain vehicle and lawn mower in Clinton Township. Damage to the victim’s property was estimated at $150.7:15 a.m. Oct. 16 — No injuries were reported in a three-vehicle wreck caused when a vehicle driven by Candy J. France, 48, of Portersville turned in front of an oncoming vehicle driven by Lauren M. Nussbaumer, 28, of Fombell on Route 488 at the Interstate 79 exit in Portersville. A third car, driven by Nick D. Curico, 54, of Ellwood City, hit Nussbaumer’s vehicle.Police cited France for disregarding traffic lanes.6:42 p.m. Oct. 15 — A car driven by Nicklaus F. Walczak, 37, of Erie struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. He was not hurt but his car his car had to be towed.9:19 a.m. Oct. 15 — A pickup driven by William C. Jordan, 36, of Slippery Rock struck a deer on Route 173 just north of Coal Hill Lane in Slippery Rock Township.3:35 p.m. Sept. 27 — A car driven by Courtney L. Norris, 18, of Pittsburgh pulled out in front of a pickup, causing a collision at Branchton and Harmony roads in Slippery Rock Township. Jeffrey A. Braun, 64, of Butler was the other driver. Police cited Norris for a stop sign violation.12:17 a.m. Sept. 21 — An SUV driven by Samantha E. Marak, 24, of Butler struck a culvert and a roadside pipe on Mahood Road just south of Red Dog Road in Center Township. Police cited her for disregarding traffic lanes.
