Butler County's great daily newspaper

Retired police officer supports Robinson

Reading the Butler Eagle on Saturday I couldn’t help but notice the half page ad on page A3.

Printed in a cowardly yellow it was a personal attack on my friend Bill (Wink) Robinson.

The context of the ad appeared to something about experience to be a judge in Butler County.

I worked in the legal system as a police officer for over 25 years in this county and the best judge I ever saw on the bench was the Honorable John Dillon.

I believe I am correct in saying he came from the banking industry to serve as a judge in this county. He is the only judge I ever heard tell a defendant from the bench that “ today is payday” and that, “ if you strike a police officer you are going to jail”.

I believe, and I hope all my friends believe, that Bill (Wink) Robinson has all the qualities and experience as a lawyer to serve as a judge in this county.

He won on both the Republican and Democratic ballot in the spring showing the voters of this county thought he was qualified and has the experience to serve as judge.

It appears the only thing that Jen GV failed to learn in life was how to be a gracious loser.

Danny R. McKnight,

Butler
