7:19 a.m. Oct. 11 — A Boyers man crashed his vehicle after a deer entered the lane in which he was driving in Cherry Township, police said. The crash occurred on West Sunbury Road north of Surface Mine Road. Robert Link, 48, was driving south on West Sunbury Road when a deer emerged from the western side of the road. A collision could not be prevented after the deer entered Link's lane of travel. His vehicle sustained disabling damage.

7:44 p.m. Oct. 8 — A 33-year-old Parker Township man lost control of his car and struck a utility pole, police said. Randy Risinger was traveling south on Kittaning Pike near Surface Mine Road in Parker Township when he lost control of his vehicle, drove off the right side of the road and crashed into the utility pole. Police determined that his front steering axle caused the vehicle to steer off the road. Risinger was transported from the scene to Butler Memorial Hospital for a head injury. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and the utility pole was almost sheared off.

11:47 a.m. Oct. 7 — Police said they are searching for an individual who was involved in an Armstrong County crash, but then fled the scene. The crash occurred on North River Avenue at the intersection with 3rd Street in Parker City. The driver, who fled the scene, was traveling east on 3rd Street and making a left turn onto North River Avenue, while Mandy Northime, 42, of Chicora was traveling south on North River Avenue. The first driver made a careless left turn and pulled out in front of Northime's vehicle, causing her to strike the other driver's vehicle head-on. The other driver continued north on North River Avenue without exchanging information with Northime, who was not injured. Police described the other driver's vehicle as a dark blue or black sedan with an unknown make, model and registration. The driver was believed to be a woman of unknown age.

2:10 a.m. Sept. 29 — A crash in Center Township occurred after a Chicora man allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel, police said. Zacary Hesselgesser, 18, was traveling north on Oneida Valley Road when he fell asleep and drove off the left side of the road. His vehicle struck a fence and sign belonging to Marshall Offstein salvage yard, located at 655 Oneida Valley Road, and overturned onto its roof, according to police. Hesselgesser sustained a few cuts on his hands, but his car had disabling damage.

12:49 a.m. Oct. 13 — A 20-year-old Evans City man was arrested on a DUI charge in Center Township, police said. Hunter Mancuso was stopped by police at the North Main Street Extension and Maplewood Drive for a traffic violation and was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.5:16 p.m. Oct. 12 — Two individuals were arrested and cited with disorderly conduct in Slippery Rock, police said. A 22-year-old man from Sharon, Mercer County, and a 28-year-old Slippery Rock man were arrested for a physical altercation on Grove City Road, according to the report. Their names were not released by police.8 p.m. Oct. 11 to 8 a.m. Oct. 12 — Police said they are searching for individuals involved in the damaging of several mailboxes and a trampoline in Summit Township. At some point between the evening of Oct. 11 and the morning of Oct. 12, two metal mailboxes valued at $50, a mailbox/vinyl post valued at $300 and a trampoline frame valued at $350 were damaged on Shepperd Drive. The individuals who caused the damage fled from the scene, police said.1:15 a.m. Sept. 28 — A 20-year-old Slippery Rock man was charged with assault following an incident in Slippery Rock Township. Gregory Jones is accused of punching a 24-year-old Slippery Rock man at The Heights apartment complex, located at Woodbridge Drive and Cobblestone Lane.
