The Butler Middle School girls cross country team placed third overall at the recent North Allegheny Invitational. Ava Brewster placed 10th overall while Rylee Hurley took 13th.

Also scoring points were Madi McGarrah, Aliyah Young, Brielle Pinto, Makayla McLister and Nicole Urban.

Butler's boys placed fifth overall. Noah Collins medaled by finishing 12th, Riley Gatz 23rd. Also scoring points were Owen Davis, Jacob Fallecker, Legend Wilkinson, Owen Denny and Drew Griffith.

Jaxon Salata scored two goals as Butler Middle School defeated McDowell, 6-1, recently. Andrew Roskovski, Owen Denny, Mason Huey and Jacob Neff also scored.Lauren LeGrand stopped 13 of 14 shots as the winning goaltender.The Golden Tornado junior varsity dropped a 2-1 decision to Seneca Valley 2. Aaron Shoup scored the Butler goal, assisted by Braydon Povlick.
