Tours of Preston Park, including the residence and the grounds, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 19 and Nov. 30. Admission is free, but registration is required and spaces are limited. Nautical Nature pontoon boat at Moraine State Park has scheduled 1.5 hour cruises on Lake Arthur every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 26. The 37-passenger, enclosed pontoon boat takes off at 1 and 3 p.m. from the McDanel’s Launch on the North Shore. Tickets are available at the Owlet Gift shop. Reservations are suggested by calling 724-368-9185.

Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will be the site of Nature Detectives: Fly, Glide and Fall at 2 p.m. Sunday; pre-registration is required by Friday at http://events.dcnr.pa.gov or by calling 724-794-6011. A Family STEM Night: Geometry and Patterns in Nature for children in second through sixth grades is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 22. Jennings is open from regularly from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset.
