SALT LAKE CITY — Thousands of people showed up to an outdoor shopping center in Utah to see rapper Kanye West perform what he calls a worship service.

Saturday's concert was held right before the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its twice-yearly conference in Salt Lake City.

West took the stage late in his worship service and performed one song — “Jesus Walks,” from his 2004 album “The College Dropout.”

Afterward, West prayed and testified to the crowd about his religious journey.

NEW YORK — Lauren Cohan walked away from “The Walking Dead.” Now she's headed back.At the end of Saturday's New York Comic Con panel for the apocalyptic AMC zombie series, Cohan's return was announced.AMC also announced an 11th season of the series, whose 10th started Sunday night.Cohan, who played Maggie Greene on the show starting in season two, left as a full-time cast member to pursue other projects after the eighth season then made a few guest appearances in the ninth.The 37-year-old actress has since appeared in the short-lived ABC series “Whiskey Cavalier” and the Mark Wahlberg film “Mile 22.”

TULSA, Okla. — Zac Hanson of the pop music band Hanson is recovering following a motorcycle crash in Oklahoma last week.The 33-year-old Hanson said in posts on Twitter, Facebook and the Tulsa-based band's website that he is recovering after suffering a broken collarbone, three broken ribs, and a cracked scapula.Hanson said he was able to walk away from the Tulsa crash thanks to “good quality protective gear.”Hanson said he will be replaced as drummer during an upcoming tour but will sing.He is the youngest of three brothers who formed the band in the early 1990s. The band is best-known for the song “MMMBop.”

ATLANTA — Tyler Perry officially christened his massive new film studio as entertainment industry luminaries strode a red carpet to his sprawling complex for an opening gala.The attendees on Saturday warmly greeted Perry, a man who had once been homeless and yet now helmed his own studio.Oprah Winfrey, Spike Lee, Usher, Samuel L. Jackson, Halle Berry and others all helped Perry christen his new facility. The 330-acre studio has 12 soundstages, each named after seminal black actors and actresses.
