A head on collision in Forward Township Friday evening injured the drivers of both involved vehicles, according to state police.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Beacon and Brownsdale roads at about 4 p.m.

Both drivers, a man and a woman, were in their late 20s. The man swerved his car in front of the woman’s vehicle and is at fault for the accident, according to police. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

He suffered a head injury and she suffered a shoulder injury, police said. Both were transferred from the scene in ambulances.

Police on scene did not immediately identify the drivers.

Police said a witness on scene corroborated the woman’s account of the wreck. The man said he could not remember what happened.
