The retreat begins with registration at 5:30 p.m. Friday and ends at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will have 10 a.m. Sunday worship followed by a Healing Service.In October, Jessie Kamerer will travel to Uganda as a medical missionary with the group Mercy for Mamas. Speak with Pastor Peter de Vries at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, to join a class that will start about how to become an official part of the church and sign up for God's mission and to learn more about what it means to be Christian, Presbyterian and part of the church. There will be a three-part video series beginning Oct. 1 to hear the talks that Danielle Strickland gave at one of the events the pastor attended during his sabbatical.Strickland is a Salvation Army officer who provides dynamic challenges for people to trust God as they seek to change the world in Christ's name.

Orchard Hill Church, 107 Staley Ave., will host Pizza and Pizookies from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at 107 Connemara Lane for students in grades six through 12 and their parents to build their own wood-fired pizza and enjoy pizookies as the church comes together to dream about the future of student ministry at the Butler County campus. St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, will hold its 11 a.m. Community Worship Service and Sunday worship service at the Evans City Fire Hall, 124 N. Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, has worship with healing at all services this weekend: 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday.The health and wellness committee meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, hosts mission partners, New Missions, during Sunday worship. There will also be a Lunch with the Bunch following the service to hear more of New Mission's work around the globe.The 4:12 youth group has a kickoff meeting at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.The Quilting Group meets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Take a project and a lunch and enjoy a day of quilting and fellowship.
