Garden club unveils Blue Star By-Way Marker

Officials from Cranberry Township and the Southern Butler County Garden Club dedicated the new Graham Park Blue Star memorial in the park's community garden Wednesday.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Southern Butler County Garden Club gave a star performance Wednesday morning when a Blue Star By-Way Marker was unveiled in Graham Park. The marker is the first of its kind in Cranberry Township and the first to be installed since 2017, when one was established along Duffy Road in Butler.

Club member Karen Faust, chair of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania Blue Star Marker West district, helped bring the marker to the park.

“Blue Star has always been a passion for me,” Faust said. “My husband is a Vietnam veteran. It started just as a thank you to God for bringing him home safely.”
