Culbertson rushes for 150 yards to lift Union/A-C Valley

Kylar Culbertson rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns Friday night as Union/A-C Valley defeated Otto-Eldred, 32-26, in high school football action.

Luke Bowser passed for 87 yards and was intercepted twice, but rushed for 31 yards and three scores.

Carter Terwint led the Falcon Knights defensively with eight tackles. Caden Rainey and Leroy Byler had seven tackles each while Colton Hoffman tallied five tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.

Elizabeth-Forward 31, Freeport 13 — Gavin Stehman caught a 13-yard pass from Garret Schaffhauser late in the first quarter to give the Yellowjackets a 7-3 lead, but Freeport could not sustain that momentum in this loss.

Schaffhauser added a 1-yard TD run late after Elizabeth-Forward had scored 28 unanswered points.

Schaffhauser finished with 59 yards passing and a touchdown.

Freeport rushed for 165 yards as a team and gained 224 yards of offense.

The Yellowjackets fell to 0-3.

Golf

Cory Voltz fired a 2-over 37 to lead Knoch to a 201-209 win over Armstrong at Kittanning Country Club.

Nate Jakovac added a 39 for the Knights (6-5, 5-4).
