SENTENCINGS

Judge Timothy McCune handed down the following sentences on Thursday:

Azza Gaines, 39, of Chicora was sentenced to six months to one year in jail and six months of probation for driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person. Gaines was immediately paroled. She must also serve 60 hours of community service and pay a $300 fine. Gaines was charged on Nov. 15, 2017, and pleaded guilty on May 8.

Charles D. Franchini, 28, of Butler was sentenced to one year of probation and must pay a fine and a restitution order for possessing drug paraphernalia. Franchini was charged on Sept. 11, 2017, and pleaded guilty July 30. In a second case, he was sentenced to 18 months of probation for possession with intent to deliver. He was charged on July 19, 2018, and pleaded guilty on July 30. In a third case, he was sentenced with no further penalty to a summary charge of harassment. He was charged on June 4, 2018, and pleaded guilty on July 30.

Joshua P. Luchkiw, 33, of Butler was sentenced to one to two years in jail for simple assault and resisting arrest. Luchkiw received seven months of credit for time already served. He was charged on Jan. 20 and pleaded guilty on July 12.
