Lisa Bleil and her trio are slated to perform at the Jazz Cabaret on Wednesday.

PENN TWP — The sixth season of the Jazz Cabaret will begin Wednesday with a group that received a rousing ovation for its performance in the last series.

Featured will be vocalist Lisa Bleil and her trio, Benny Benack II on reeds, John Burgh on keyboard, and Brian Stahurski on bass.

The intent of the Jazz Cabaret series is to bring back the sophisticated jazz club of the ’40s and ’50s, including subdued lighting, outstanding views, and ambience to make for a lovely interlude.

The evening will run from 7 to 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at Conley Resort, 740 Pittsburgh Road.

Appetizers and parking are free, and there will be a cash bar.

Cost is $12.50. Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
