Samira Wiley

NEW YORK — Samira Wiley has some advice for us all: “Find something that you love to do and get somebody to pay you for it.”

Before that happened to the “Orange is the New Black” co-star, there was little more than her “tortured love” of the craft. She told The Associated Press that acting is like an addiction, but it wasn't until she attended The Juilliard School that she realized it could be a living

Wiley's character on “Orange,” Poussey Washington, died under a prison guard's knee in Season 4. The groundbreaking Netflix show ended in July with the seventh season. Wiley says she'll never forget Poussey, the role that launched her career.

Wiley went on to win an Emmy for her work as Moira on “The Handmaid's Tale.”
