Aaron Wimer of Spring Hill, Tenn., recently accepted a position as library director at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
Wimer, formerly of Butler, graduated from Grove City High School in 1992.
He earned an associate degree from Butler County Community College in 2002, a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications in 2004 from Clarion University and a master of library science degree in 2005 from Clarion, graduating magna cum laude.
Wimer most recently served as the head of reference at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Ga.; head of research and instruction and librarian associate professor at Kennesaw State University, also in Marietta; and library director at Columbia State Community College in Columbia, Tenn., his most current post.
He is the son of Mary White of Spring Hill and Thomas Wimer of Leesburg, Mercer County.
He and his wife, the former Jennifer A. Davis of Butler, have two daughters, Vivian and Kathryn.
