Joel and Shirley MacKay

Shirley and Joel R. MacKay recently celebrated 70 years of marriage with a family dinner.

MacKay married the former Shirley Stevens on July 26, 1949, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh.

They have four children, Shari (Chuck) Manos, Merri MacKay, Wendy (Tim) Spina and Joel (J.R.) MacKay Jr.

They also have five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

MacKay was the owner of MacKay Cadillac in Sewickley and later in Wexford.

Mrs. MacKay is a homemaker.

The MacKays enjoy their cottage at Deep Creek Lake, Md., travels in their motor home, many rounds of golf, even playing the Old Course at Saint Andrews, Scotland, and their many friends through the years.

The MacKays belong to Nixon United Methodist Church.
