SENTENCINGS

Judge Timothy McCuneJudge Timothy McCune handed down the following sentences on Thursday:Stephen E. Carson, 30, of Renfrew was sentenced to six months of intermediate punishment with the first 42 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring for driving under the influence. Carson must also serve 60 hours of community service and pay a $750 fine.Gordon A. Brown, 48, of Butler was sentenced to one year of probation and 50 hours of community service for disorderly conduct and harassment. Brown was charged on Aug. 26, 2018, and pleaded guilty on June 12.Allen D. Frieson, 26, of Slippery Rock was sentenced to five years of intermediate punishment with the first 105 days on house arrest and an additional 90 days on house arrest for driving under the influence. Frieson must also pay a total of $2,500 in fines and serve 100 hours of community service. Frieson was charged on July 30, 2018, and pleaded guilty on June 12.Gavin Storm Kelly, 23, of Butler was sentenced to six months of probation for simple assault. Kelly was charged on July 31, 2017, and pleaded guilty on Dec. 4.Thomas Friend, 28, of Baden was sentenced to six to 18 months in jail with an immediate parole for theft. Friend must also pay a restitution order of more than $3,000. Friend was charged on July 3, 2018, and pleaded guilty on June 12. In a second case, Friend was sentenced to 18 months of probation and 25 hours of community service for theft. He must also pay a restitution order of more than $10,000. Friend was charged on Aug. 22, 2018, and pleaded guilty on June 12.

Judge William ShafferJudge William Shaffer handed down the following sentences on Wednesday:David M. Ridinger, 39, of Kittanning was sentenced to six months of probation and a $75 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia. Ridinger was charged on May 21, 2018, and pleaded guilty on April 1.Austin J. Reges, 25, of Butler was sentenced to three years of probation and a charge of restitution for receiving stolen property. Reges was charged on Dec. 14 and pleaded guilty July 10.Nicholas A. Foster, 24, of Prospect was sentenced time served to one year in jail for retail theft. With credit for time already served, Foster was immediately paroled. Foster was charged on Oct. 29 and pleaded guilty on June 4.Christian E. Snyder, 59, of Butler was sentenced to two and a half years of probation and time served to one year in jail for possessing drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, theft and simple assault. Snyder was immediately paroled after receiving credit for time already served and he must also pay a restitution order. Snyder was charged on Nov. 15, 2017, and pleaded guilty on July 10.Jason E. Kummer, 41, of Evans City was sentenced to one year of probation, a $200 fine and must undergo anger management classes for disorderly conduct. Kummer was charged on July 7, 2018, and pleaded guilty on July 10.Nicole M. Robertson, 34, of New Castle was sentenced to two years of probation and must pay a restitution order for criminal trespass and retail theft. Robertson was charged on Jan. 14 and pleaded guilty on July 10.Robert K. Bridges, 34, of New Castle was sentenced to one year of probation for two counts of disorderly conduct. Bridges was charged on July 27, 2017 and pleaded guilty on July 10.Kevin S. Peiffer, 44, of Butler was sentenced to two years of probation for two counts of harassment. Peiffer was charged on Dec. 29 and pleaded guilty on July 10.Melissa Lynn Rocco, 42, of Kittanning was sentenced to one year of probation for retail theft. Rocco was charged on Feb. 5 and pleaded guilty on July 10.Willie E. Jones III, 39, of Youngstown, Ohio, was sentenced to six months of probation for presenting false identification to law enforcement. Jones was charged on Jan. 15 and pleaded guilty on July 10.
