Herman Road reopens
A section of Herman Road in Summit Township reopened late Monday afternoon, according to the state's Department of Transportation.
Rob McClafferty, Herman Volunteer Fire Department chief, said the road closed for a short time at 1 p.m. on Monday in both directions near the entrance to the Summit Township Sportsman Club.
McClafferty said the area flooded after heavy downpours. He added that the stretch of road, which is between Stutz Road and Reed Lane, is prone to flooding.
PennDOT announced later Monday afternoon that the water had receded and the busy road reopened.
