Local IT company CEO charged with stealing more than $205,000 from business

McCANDLESS TWP, Allegheny County — A Gibsonia man is accused of taking more than $205,000 from a local IT company for which he served as CEO, spending it on everything from a traveling youth basketball team to gentleman's club visits.

Eric V. Cunningham, 47, is charged with three counts of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and forgery for the alleged theft, which began in 2017.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Allegheny County District Attorney's office, investigators were made aware of alleged crimes at Information Technology Procurement Sourcing (ITPS) LLC in December 2018. The business sets up networking systems for various businesses and school districts — including the Mars Area and Karns City Area school districts.
