EVANS CITY — District Judge Wayne Seibel recently heard the following cases.

Joseph R. Horn, 41, of Freedom waived to court charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Twenty-three counts of theft by unlawful taking and 23 counts of receiving stolen property were withdrawn. Charges were filed May 22 by Mars police.

Charles L. Zimmerman, 57, of Mars waived to court charges of recklessly endangering another person, driving at unsafe speeds and careless driving. Charges were filed March 11 by Adams Township police.

Dylan C. Espersen, 18, of Cranberry Township waived to court charges of making repairs or selling offensive weapons, simple assault, false report, harassment, disorderly conduct and tampering with evidence. Charges were filed June 27 by Evans City-Seven Fields Regional police.

Charles D. Straessley Jr., 31, of Evans City waived to court charges of DUI: general impairment of driving safely first offense, DUI: highest rate of alcohol first offense, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving. Charges were filed May 29 by state police.

Laura M. Bechtold, 34, of Mars waived to court a charge of DUI: general impairment of driving safely second offense. The charge was filed June 17 by Adams Township police.

Chasen M. Shirley, 20, of Apollo waived to court charges of DUI: controlled substance metabolite first offense, DUI: controlled substance impaired ability first offense, marijuana small amount of personal use, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to stop at a red signal. Charges were filed April 24 by Adams Township police.

Elizabeth D. Woo, 47, of Mars was held for court on charges of criminal mischief damaging property, DUI: general impairment of driving safely first offense, DUI: controlled substance combination of drugs and alcohol first offense, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving. Charges were filed May 28 by Adams Township police.
