Moniteau football field, principal's yard vandalized
CHERRY TWP — An unknown vandal aboard a utility vehicle drove roughshod across the Moniteau High School football field this week.
But that wasn’t all. The front lawn of the high school principal’s home sustained similar damage.
State police said they are investigating the vandalism as a case of criminal mischief that caused more than $1,000 in damage.
The investigation began after police learned that someone riding a side-by-side utility vehicle had rammed a fence at the high school on Route 308 in Cherry Township shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday.
