Saxonburg Pet Parade winners announced

Pet Parade Best overall winner for 2019, Frankie, dressed as Top Gun Dog, owned by Rebeka Aust of Saxonburg.

The 2019 Saxonburg Pet Parade winners have been announced.

The parade was held Tuesday evening on Main Street and included animals of all kinds being led by their owners.

The best overall pet won $20, and winners in the other categories received $10 each.

A panel of five judged the animals. They are Mindy Miller, Miss Pennsylvania For America; Mayor Bill Gillespie; Michelle Lesniak, director of the South Butler Community Library; and two children of Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company members.

The winners are:

- Small dog — Chico and Teddy, owned by Shannon Martin of Saxonburg

- Large dog — Bailey, owned by the Karwoski family of Butler

- Cat — Cheese, owned by Camden Miles of Sarver

- Farm animal — King Spots the Bunny, owned by Owan and Hunter Bartley of Saxonburg

- Small overall animal — Raptor, a turtle owned by Eryn Young of Mars

- Best overall — Frankie, dressed as Top Gun Dog, owned by Rebeka Aust of Saxonburg

- Best overall float — A covered wagon carrying Troy, a dog owned by Macy Bauchman of Saxonburg.
