Butler Police2:07 a.m. July 6 — Joseph G. Daye, 47, of Butler was allegedly nabbed with suspected crack cocaine and other drug contraband following a traffic stop at Broad and State streets.Daye was a passenger in the vehicle, which was stopped for having an expired license plate. Police said they subsequently determined that the driver was wanted on a bench warrant.Officers searched both occupants, according to court documents, and found Daye with a baggie corner containing suspected crack. They also found him with a crack pipe, a push rod and an empty baggie with white powder residue.Daye is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Slippery Rock PoliceJune 10 — Police charged Michael T. Snow, 21, of Harrisville with drugged driving in connection with a May traffic stop on Kelly Boulevard near North Main Street. He was stopped May 2 after an officer noticed his pickup truck’s registration was expired.Snow denied having had any alcohol, but he acknowledged he had smoked marijuana earlier. A subsequent blood test at Butler Memorial Hospital confirmed he had marijuana in his system, according to court documents.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, he is charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without insurance and displaying an unauthorized certificate of inspection.

State Police, ButlerJune 24 — Police charged Joshua M. Roudebush, 31, of Oakland Township and Zachary D. Angert, 32, of Fairview Township in connection with a May fight at a bar in Petrolia.Troopers said they were called to Alan’s Roadhouse on Main Street around 1:35 a.m. May 26 and found Angert being treated in the back of an ambulance. He had facial swelling and a small cut on his head.Roudebush, who was sitting on the ground in the parking lot, had a large lump on his forehead. He admitted that he punched Angert in the face multiple times during a mutual fight, according to court documents.He also allegedly told police that Angert had struck him in the head with a beer bottle inside the bar. Both defendants are charged with simple assault.
