In addition to the Butler Little Theatre summer youth production of “Peter Pan” which starts Thursday (review on Page 19), two more local theater companies are presenting shows this weekend, plus one is continuing.

Musical Theatre Guild's production of “Bingo!: The Winning Musical” opens Friday at the MTG Production Center at the back of Memorial Park. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and July 19 and 20 and at 3 p.m. July 21. Tickets are $17, available online at www.mtgbutler.org.

Hobnob Theater is presenting “Romeo and Juliet” at 6:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday and July 19 to 21 outdoors in Preston Park, 415 S. Eberhart Road, Butler Township. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger, available at www.hobnobtheatre.com or at the park before performances. Take a chair or blanket for seating and some bug spray.

ZELIENOPLE — The 56th annual Horse Trading Days will be from July 18 to 20 with all-day activities, including historical tours of the Buhl and Passavant Houses, a flea market, used book sale, crafts, food and, of course, lots of horses. Visit www.horsetradingdays.com.

The Butler Art Center's next event will be a garden show from July 24 to 27.A reception is planned for 7 to 9 p.m. July 26.In addition to art, vendors will have plants, flowers and preserves.The Art Center at 344 S. Local musicians, businesses, nonprofit organizations and residents have banded together for a night of music to assist those affected by the extreme weather that hit Zelienople and Harmony on May 28.A benefit concert will take place Sunday at Jergel's Rhythm Grille in Warrendale with proceeds going to those impacted within the Zelienople, Harmony and surrounding areas.Donations can also be made through the GoFundMe Page “Rising Above the Waters.”
