8:40 p.m. June 30 — Thomas E. Campbell, 61, of Lyndora was allegedly caught with suspected crack cocaine after police arrested him for public intoxication on the 300 block of West Jefferson Street.

Police took Campbell to the station, where he was searched and found with a baggie corner containing suspected crack, a crack pipe and a used syringe, court documents said.

He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.

11:19 p.m. July 4 — Trevor W. Emerick, 24, of Renfrew was injured in a rollover wreck on Route 422 west about one mile before the Route 356 exit. The damaged vehicle was unoccupied by the time officers got there.Police later found Emerick at the GetGo store on Route 8 north in the township. He had a minor injury to his left arm, but he refused hospital treatment.The investigation found that Emerick had struck a traffic safety vehicle before traveling through a guardrail and down an embankment. The vehicle ended up overturned and had to be towed.Police cited Emerick with hit-and-run, failing to immediately notify police of an accident and careless driving.

5:02 p.m. Sunday — Dustin P. Miller, 27, of Slippery Rock Township was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in the borough. Police said they pulled him over after they allegedly noticed that his vehicle had an expired inspection sticker on it.Miller is charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license and the inspection violation.State Police, Butler7:06 p.m. Saturday — Brandon K. Shirley, 37, of Chicora was uninjured after his pickup truck caught fire while he was driving south on Route 8 near Route 308 in Center Township. He pulled off the road and called 911.9:05 p.m. July 1 — No one was injured in a three-vehicle wreck in Connoquenessing Township. The crash occurred when a pickup truck driven by Nathan A. Smith, 45, of Renfrew turned in front of a vehicle driven by Dmitry F. Borovoy, 32, of Sunny Isles Beach, Fla.After the two vehicles collided, according to a police report, Smith's pickup crashed into a car driven by Raymond J. Atkinson, 62, of Butler. The Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.Police cited Smith for making an improper left turn.July 1 — A Westmoreland County woman was charged with having drug contraband in May before she was placed in the Butler County Prison. The defendant, Jasmine A. McCutcheon, 28, of New Kensington, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.Police said they were called to New Kensington around 3:15 p.m. May 25 to transport McCutcheon to the Butler County Prison. Before being booked, according to court documents, prison staff searched her and turned up a stamp bag commonly used to hold heroin.
