Harrison Brown, owner of the newly opened Harry's Joint in downtown Butler, said he is pleased to be part of the Main Street business community.

“It's nice to be part of Main Street. It's great,” Brown said.

Brown, who grew up in Penn Township, is renovating the exterior of his CBD oil, vape and glass shop at 109 N. Main St. to get it ready for his shop's Aug. 10 grand opening.

The new exterior will feature river rock to create a welcoming atmosphere.

“I want that to be done for the grand opening,” Brown said.

An exterior sign will replace the banner currently in place after he obtains a permit from the city, he said.

Brown attended some classes at Penn State after graduating high school, but said he has no formal business training. He makes up for it with entrepreneurial spirit.

“I wanted to get into entrepreneurship. I'm 21. This is a great opportunity for me,” Brown said. “I really enjoy the CBD aspect of it. It really helps people. It has a lot of medical properties.”

He said he has talked to many people who say CBD oil helps alleviate pain, anxiety and a variety of other medical issues.

The store's business hours are noon to 9 p.m. every day except Sunday.
