LOS ANGELES — The Anthony Davis saga is over and the Lakers have their next superstar big man.

And it could cost them big as they attempt to return to the level of NBA elite.

The New Orleans Pelicans agreed Saturday to trade Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers, according to people with knowledge of the deal. The Lakers will send Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart and several draft picks to New Orleans to acquire Davis.

The Pelicans will get the No. 4 pick in this week’s draft along with selections in future years.
