Second teen arrested in Clearfield Township police chase

CLEARFIELD TWP — A second teenager has been charged with a felony count of fleeing in connection with a police chase that began when a car was clocked going 109 mph.

An arrest warrant was issued Monday for Ryan P. Ehrman, 18, of Butler Township, who is accused of driving away in the car after the original 16-year-old driver fled the vehicle on foot May 10.

A trooper ran after and caught the younger suspect. The 16-year-old Lyndora boy is facing fleeing, drugged driving and other charges in juvenile court.

Trooper Michael Torres was running radar around 8:15 p.m. when the boy drove by in a 2017 Ford Fiesta on Route 422 in Clearfield Township, police said. The radar device allegedly showed the car was traveling 109 mph.
