Middlesex says yes to selling liquor

MIDDLESEX TWP — A referendum to end a decades-old ban on liquor licenses passed overwhelmingly in Tuesday’s election, bringing the prohibition on the sale liquor in township restaurants and businesses to an end.

Residents voted 1,266 to 334 to end the ban and permit township businesses to acquire liquor licenses.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will now begin working with the township to alter the municipality's codes and ordinances to reflect the vote.
