BUTLER TWP — One person was taken to a local hospital for unknown injuries after a Route 8 crash around 5:30 p.m. Monday, according to police.

Police said the injured driver was making a left turn onto Route 8 North in a Subaru Legacy when a Honda Pilot struck the driver's side.

The driver of the Honda SUV and the passenger of the Subaru hatchback were not injured.

For about an hour the accident restricted some traffic on Route 8 and closed the southbound traffic of the Picklegate Bridge.

Butler Township Police, Butler Fire Department and Butler Ambulance responded to the crash.
