Tuesday — Danielle Napier, 25, of Butler was charged with having crack cocaine and other contraband stemming from her warrant arrest earlier this month on North Main Street.Police said they found Napier at Dunkin' Donuts on May 4 and they knew that she was wanted on a bench warrant. A pat-down search turned up a container with suspected crack, according to court documents.She also allegedly had a crack pipe. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.10:45 p.m. May 10 — Tyler D. Smith, 34, of Butler was allegedly caught with suspected drug contraband following a traffic stop at North Main and West North streets. Police said he was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for not having headlights on.Smith was arrested on two warrants out of Allegheny County. He allegedly admitted that he had a syringe in one of his pockets. Police allegedly found the syringe as well as a broken crack pipe. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.Tuesday — Andrea R. Nickel, 21, of Slippery Rock was charged with driving on drugs stemming from a traffic stop last month in Slippery Rock Township. Police said they stopped her around 11 p.m. April 19 for making an improper turn at Route 173 and Harmony Road.Nickel admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that evening, according to court documents. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test after she allegedly showed impairment during field sobriety testing.Police said toxicology reports subsequently indicated that she had marijuana and amphetamine in her system.A search of her vehicle turned up a baggie containing suspected marijuana and another bag with four unspecified bills in it, documents said. Also allegedly found were four drug-smoking pipes and a marijuana grinder.Nickel is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.May 9 — Police charged an Armstrong County man with drugged driving in connection with a traffic stop last month in Butler. Timmy A. Townsend, 50, of Leechburg was pulled over around 10:10 p.m. April 20 for alleged traffic offenses that included a window tint violation.Townsend admitted that he had smoked marijuana earlier that evening, according to court documents, and he failed field sobriety testing. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results allegedly confirmed he had marijuana in his system. In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, he is charged with driving a vehicle with unsafe equipment.
