These items have been collected from various police departments.

2 a.m. Tuesday — Frances B. Coy, 58, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly stole $585 from a woman at her apartment on the 300 block of West Brady Street.

The victim told police that Coy had come to her home asking for $100, according to court documents. She turned him down. He then asked for a cigarette.

She recounted that she went into a bedroom to get a cigarette and Coy followed her. The two walked out of the room and the defendant immediately left the apartment.

Police said the victim realized a short time later that she was missing an envelope that had been in the bedroom where she was with Coy. The envelope contained $585 in currency.

Coy was arraigned on a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft and released on his own custody.

Tuesday — An arrest warrant was issued for Clecy E. Thompson, 29, of Butler on charges that he assaulted his girlfriend around 10:50 p.m. Monday at her home on the 600 block of Center Avenue.

The woman told police that Thompson punched her in the face and repeatedly slapped her, according to court documents. He is also accused of pushing her against a dresser.

She recounted that he fled the home when she called 911. Police said the victim had bruising and swelling on her face, a cut on both lips and scratches on her neck.

Thompson is charged with simple assault.

9 p.m. Sunday — A Donegal Township teenager allegedly threatened to come to a relative's home on South Cliff Street with a rifle and “smoke everybody.”

The victim told police that she was home with her children when the defendant, 18-year-old Braiden A. Safranek, made the threat via FaceTime, according to court documents. She showed police a recording of the video call.

Safranek is charged with terroristic threats and harassment,

3:07 p.m. April 23 — Karen S. Verheyen, 51, of West Sunbury was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted $193.05 in merchandise at the Butler Commons' Walmart, where she has been banned since May 2016.Verheyen, who has at least two prior shoplifting convictions, was arraigned on a felony count of retail theft and a summary count of defiant trespass. She is free on $3,000 unsecured bail.

5:22 p.m. Monday — A 43-year-old Westmoreland County man was arrested for suspicion of driving on drugs after a traffic stop on Route 28 south about one-half mile north of exit 17 in Buffalo Township.Police did not identify the suspect, of West Newton, who underwent an evaluation by a court-certified drug recognition expert before being taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, for a blood test. Toxicology results are pending.A police report noted that a trooper also found the man with unspecified drug paraphernalia.9:56 p.m. Sunday — Jerri J. Slagle, 49, of Butler Township was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after police pulled her over at North Main and West New Castle streets in Butler. The traffic stop was made after police saw her car twice cross the yellow center line and white fog line while traveling into the city.Slagle acknowledged that she had been drinking alcohol before driving, according to court documents. She allegedly showed impairment during field sobriety tests and was taken for a breath test, which indicated her blood-alcohol level was 0.128 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.She is charged with driving under the influence, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.2:43 a.m. May 9 — George T. Honeycutt, 41, of Butler was allegedly caught with suspected crack following a traffic stop in Butler. He was a backseat passenger in the car, which was pulled over at Zeigler and Center avenues.A consent search of the car turned up about one gram of crack that was inside a cardboard box in the back seat, court documents said. Also seized in the search were two crack pipes and other contraband.Honeycutt, police said, admitted the drugs and related items were his. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
