Trying to peg the picks

It’s time for my yearly NFL mock draft.

If I get three correct it will be like the Browns winning the Super Bowl.

No. 1, Arizona: Kyler Murray, QB. The Cardinals get their quarterback of the future ... until they take Tua Tagovailoa next year.

No. 2, San Francisco: Nick Bosa, DE. Pretty hard to pass up Bosa here, who may be the best Bosa.

No. 3, N.Y. Jets: Quinnen Williams, DT. Probably the best talent in the entire draft.

No. 4, Oakland: Josh Allen, LB. Gruden gets his Khalil Mack replacement with a pick he got for trading Khalil Mack.

No. 5, Tampa Bay: Devin White, LB: The Steelers would love to trade up here to get White, but they aren’t the trading up kind of team.

No. 6, N.Y. Giants: Dwayne Haskins, QB. The Giants need to move on eventually from Eli Manning.

No. 7, Jacksonville: Ed Oliver, DT. Scary defense gets scarier.

No. 8, Detroit: T.J. Hockenson, TE. The Lions are perpetually looking for a TE.

No. 9, Buffalo: Jawaan Taylor, T. Bills need a receiver, but they need to protect the QB Josh Allen more.

No. 10, Denver: Devin Bush, LB: Broncos get the “other” Devin.

No. 11, Cincinnati: Brian Burns, DE/LB

No. 12, Green Bay: Noah Fant, TE.

No. 13, Miami: Rashan Gary, DT.

No. 14, Atlanta: Cody Ford, OL.

No. 15, Washington: Daniel Jones, QB.

No. 16, Carolina: Christian Wilkins, DT

No. 17, New York Giants: Jonah Williams, OT.

No. 18, Minnesota: Chris Lindstrom, OL.

No. 19, Tennessee: Byron Murphy, DB

No. 20, Pittsburgh: D.K. Metcalf, WR. Corner Greedy Williams makes more sense here, but it would be hard for the Steelers to pass up Metcalf, who blew up the combine.

No. 21, Seattle: Garrett Bradbury, C.

No. 22, Baltimore: Marquise Brown, WR. “Hollywood” has speed to burn.

No. 23, Houston: Andre Dillard, OT.

No. 24, Oakland: Greedy Williams, CB. Fitting a guy named Greedy would go to Gruden and the Raiders.

No. 25, Philadelphia: Juan Thornhill, SS.

No. 26, Indianapolis: Clelin Ferrell, DE.

No. 27, Oakland (again): Josh Jacobs, RB.

No. 28, L.A. (not San Diego) Chargers: Dexter Lawrence, DT.

No. 29, Seattle: Erik McCoy, C/G.

No. 30, Green Bay: Rock Ya-Sin, CB. The best name in the draft. Not even close.

No. 31, L.A. Rams: Greg Little, OT.

No. 32, New England Patriots: Drew Lock, QB. Because Tom Brady can’t go on forever drinking avocado shakes and sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber.
