The second annual Chow & Browse Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Alameda Park, 184 Alameda Park Road.

The dog-friendly, free admission event offers food trucks, an artists’ market, gift and craft vendors, a doggy pageant and live music.

May 7 is the deadline to reserve a table for the vintage/collectible show running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 19 in the Butler Township fire hall, 98 Old Plank Road. The show is sponsored by ladies auxiliary.

[naviga:h3]Game council seeks director

HARRISBURG — The Governor’s Advisory Council for Hunting, Fishing and Conservation is seeking a qualified candidate to represent District 1 on the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s board of directors. District 1 includes the counties of Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango and Warren.

Per the Game Code, applicants must be well-informed about wildlife conservation and restoration and be residents of the district. Commissioners receive no compensation for their services but are reimbursed for travel expenses.

Individuals interested in applying should send a resume and detailed cover letter explaining their desire to serve to Robb Miller, Governor’s Advisory Council for Hunting, Fishing and Conservation, 400 Market St., 7th floor, Harrisburg, PA 17101-2301. Individuals can also email the information to robmille@pa.gov.

Applications will be accepted until May 24.
