Montgomery, 23, of Eighty Four, is in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail. He is charged with felony charges of forgery and misdemeanor charges of theft and receiving stolen property.Police said the victim listed an ad on Craigslist for his 55-inch TV. The defendant apparently agreed to buy if for $500.The two eventually met Sunday night at a restaurant/bar on Route 8 in Penn Township to conduct the transaction. The buyer gave the TV to Montgomery, who handed over the suspected fake money.
