4 drug suspects held in prison

Marshall A. Grimes

Four suspected dealers linked to an alleged cocaine distribution ring based in Columbus, Ohio, that did business in Butler are in the Butler County Prison.

State and county narcotics officers last week charged the purported ring leader, Marshall A. Grimes, 39, of Columbus, with 17 drug trafficking felonies.

One of his suspected “runners,” Daniel L. Kopp, 46, of Butler, was arrested last week. He's charged with seven felonies.

Two other alleged ring members — Tyler W. Henderson, 32, and Keith Massey Jr., 35, both of Columbus — are charged with seven and 11 felonies, respectively.

A fifth defendant, James J. Williams, 41, of Columbus, who is believed to be a Grimes underling but not charged as a ring member, is being sought on an arrest warrant.

Grimes, Henderson, Kopp and Massey are all behind bars on six-figure bail, and they are awaiting preliminary hearings April 1.
