3 Scouts attain Eagle rank
Andrew P. Babay IV of Butler Township earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Jan. 30, with Troop 842 in Connoquenessing.
A Butler High School senior, he is the son of Nina and Andy Babay.
Andrew built and installed two safety swimming kiosks at Moraine State Park. He coordinated with park manager Dustin Drew and planned, organized and orchestrated the multiphased project.
Andrew has been scouting for 11 years and earned 35 merit badges. He has served as scribe, patrol leader, assistant patrol leader and librarian. He plans to attend Slippery Rock University to study exercise science/physical therapy.

Joseph Orsborn, 15, of Butler earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Dec. 19, 2018, with Troop 6 sponsored by St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. He was honored at a Court of Honor on March 3.A Butler High School sophomore, he is the son of Jeff and Beth Orsborn.Joseph's Eagle Scout project was a tool shed for the Butler Catholic School Garden Club that provides a place for students to store their tools and materials.He has been in scouting for nine years and earned 59 merit badges. He has served as historian, assistant patrol leader, patrol leader, senior patrol leader and junior assistant scoutmaster. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow.-----------
Daniel Orsborn, 14, of Butler earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Dec. 19, 2018, with Troop 6 sponsored by St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. He was honored at a Court of Honor on March 3.He is a ninth-grader in the Butler School District and the son of Jeff and Beth Orsborn.Daniel's Eagle Scout project was a large composting bin for the Butler Catholic School Garden Club. It allows the students to collect scraps from the cafeteria and develop soil for their garden.Daniel has been in scouting for nine years and earned 46 merit badges. He has served as den chief, quartermaster, patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader and senior patrol leader. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
