Ten Butler Catholic School seventh- and eighth-grade students participated in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science regional competition at Slippery Rock University last month. Winners were, from left, front, Leah Zafgurskie, Wyatt Kos, Noah Lynd, Bridget Preston and Azriella Marr, and back, Josh Kelly, Aaron Short, Montana Geibel, Milan DeNicola and Michaela Peratt. Short and DeNicola both received a perfect score of 5.0 on their science fair projects. Short also received the Director’s Award for Junior High Computer Science, and DeNicola received the Ernst P. Hall Award for Junior High Ecology.
