[naviga:h3]SRU football adds 2 defensive coaches[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University football program has added two defensive coaches to its staff.

Former University of Michigan safety and defensive intern Allen Gant will coach the SRU defensive backs while former Boston College defensive lineman and University of Cincinnati defensive graduate assistant Bryan Anthony Murray will coach the defensive line.

They replace Corey Brown and Joe Phillips on the staff. Both will be with the team for the complete spring practice schedule.

[naviga:h3]SRU’s Braham joins IHSA national finals[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University equestrian club member Aubrey Braham was named Reserve Champion at the recent Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) semifinals in Logan, Utah.

She will advance to the national finals May 2-5 in Syrascuse, N.Y.

Braham competed in individual open reining at the semifinals. Three other Rock equestrian members made the semifinals: Kayleigh Pella was sixth and Ashley McClintock eighth in individual advanced horsemanship, Kristen Glenn eighth in individual beginner horsemanship.
