CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, hosts the first Mini Maker Faire, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11.

Dubbed the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth, it’s a family-friendly showcase of invention, creative, and resourcefulness. The library is looking for engineers, artists, scientists and crafters who want to show off their hobbies, experiments, and projects.

[naviga:h3]Jennings plans spring outings[/naviga:h3]

BRADY TWP — Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, plans the following events:

2 to 4 p.m. April 7 “Nature Detectives: Unseen Worlds.” Families are invited to become “nature detectives.” Search for clues to unravel the mystery of “whose world is this?” Registration is required by April 3, and space is limited. Register at http://events.dcnr.pa.gov/ or by calling 724-794-6011.

10 to 11:30 a.m. April 19 “Spring Wonder Walk.” Jennings’ staff will lead a group in exploring and experiencing the springtime wonders that might be encountered on this informal, seasonal walk.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20 “Take Back the Woods: Battling Invasive Species.” Celebrate Earth Day by helping to “weed out” invasive plants at the Jennings Environmental Education Center.

Registration for the program is required by April 13, either on DCNR’s Calendar of Events (http://events.dcnr.pa.gov/) or by calling 724-794-6011.

[naviga:h3]Panera president at Grove City [/naviga:h3]

GROVE CITY — The Center for Entrepreneurship + Innovation at Grove City College hosts Blaine Hurst, CEO and president of Panera LLC., at 7 p.m. April 8 as part of the Richard G. Staley ’62 Visionary Entrepreneur Speaker Series in Sticht Lecture Hall on campus.

Hurst, who has been named by Fast Casual Magazine as one of its Movers and Shakers for the last three years, will share “Lessons in Transformative Leadership” with students.
