CRANBERRY TWP — District Judge David Kovach recently heard the following cases.

James F. Chvala, 49, of Harmony waived for court charges of DUI: highest rate of alcohol first offense, DUI: general impairment of driving safely first offense, investigation by officer, not using low beams and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. A charge of resisting arrest was withdrawn. Charges were filed Jan. 23 by Lancaster Township police.

James Graf, 28, of Pittsburgh was held for court on a charge of retail theft. The charge was filed Jan. 17 by Cranberry Township police.

Jeffrey A. Goughler, 41, of Oil City waived for court charges of possession of a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI: controlled substance schedule 1 first offense, DUI: controlled substance metabolite first offense, DUI: controlled substance impaired ability first offense, improper sunscreening and operating a vehicle with unsafe equipment. Charges were filed Jan. 8 by state police.

Robert J. Morrow, 68, of New Brighton waived for court charges of altering an access device, conspiracy to commit theft by deception or false impression, theft by deception or false impression and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed Feb. 12 by Cranberry Township police.

Misty A. Cummings, 29, of Oil City waived for court charges of possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Jan. 8 by state police.

Alexandra N. Michalik, 22, of Shippensburg waived for court charges of altering an access device, conspiracy to commit theft by deception or false impression, theft by deception or false impression and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed Feb. 12 by Cranberry Township police.

Robin Morrow, 44, of New Brighton waived for court charges of altering an access device, two counts of conspiracy to commit theft by deception or false impression and two counts of theft by deception or false impression. Charges were filed Feb. 12 by Cranberry Township police.

Karen Verheyen, 51, of West Sunbury waived for court charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed Feb. 14 by Cranberry Township police.

Stephen S. Schweiger, 26, of Butler waived for court charges of simple assault and harassment. Charges were filed Jan. 15 by Cranberry Township police.
