6:47 a.m. Tuesday — Toby E. Morrison, 31, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at her home on the 200 block of Morton Avenue.

The victim told police she and the defendant were arguing when he hit her and pushed her head into the window above the kitchen sink, according to court documents.

Officers found broken glass in the window, they said, and the victim had facial injuries. She has a protection from abuse order against Morrison.

The defendant fled the scene before police got there, documents said, but officers caught him on South Monroe Street. Police said he was also wanted on a bench warrant.

He was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in the Butler County Prison on $7,500 bail.

March 8 — Dustin L. Hilliard, 34, of Butler was charged with having crack cocaine following a traffic stop last week on the 300 block of East Jefferson Street.

Police said they stopped Hilliard around 1:35 a.m. March 2 after he turned in the opposite direction of his turn signal. His car also had a burned out headlight. Officers subsequently learned that he had a suspended driver’s license.

An inventory search of the car turned up suspected crack that was in a pill bottle in the center console.

Hilliard is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.

March 7 — Police charged Brittany R. Zukowski, 31, of Butler with bouncing two checks in December that she allegedly wrote another woman for a combined $735.

Zukowski is charged with two misdemeanor counts of bad checks.

Wednesday — Jerald L. Lorenz, 37, of Butler was arraigned on felony and other charges following an investigation into six unauthorized transactions at three different businesses last month.

Police said their probe began when they got a call from the victim, who was in Florida for the winter. She reported fraudulent activity on her bank account. Investigators subsequently identified Lorenz as a suspect, according to a police report.

The defendant, who is an acquaintance of the victim, used the woman’s debit bank card Feb. 5 and 6 at the Walmart at Butler Commons in the township and at automated teller machines at the Butler Armco Credit Union and KeyBank in Butler.

“Lorenz made small purchases at Walmart,” the report said, “and used the victim’s (personal identification number) to receive cash from both purchases.

Additionally, he is accused of using the card three times at the credit union and once at KeyBank. The total amount of all of the transactions was $679.73.

Surveillance video footage helped identity Lorenz, police said.

District Judge Kevin O’Donnell arraigned the defendant on a felony charge of access device fraud and six misdemeanor counts each of forgery and identify theft. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.

Wednesday — Police charged Joshua K. Keys, 38, of West Sunbury and Jacqueline D. McDougall, 32, of Slippery Rock with drug-related and other offenses in connection with an incident last week at a motel on Route 8 south.

Officers were called to the Fairfield Inn & Suites on March 2 for two intoxicated and irate guests, according to court documents.

Keys is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and false identification to law enforcement authorities.

McDougall is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving a vehicle without insurance and without valid inspection.

Wednesday — Kirti Sharma, 41, of Butler was charged stemming from a crash last week on McCalmont Road. Police said the wreck occurred around 10 p.m. March 2.

Sharma was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, where she made “numerous outburst(s) and threatened officers on scene,” according to a police report.

In addition to driving under the influence, she is charged with disorderly conduct, harassment, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving, reckless driving, failing to keep right and disregarding traffic lanes.

Feb. 27 — Police filed three drug-related charges against Derek J. Ezatoff, 26, of Butler in connection with a traffic stop about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 7 on Armco Drive.

He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana. Police also cited him for a stop sign violation.

2:55 p.m. Feb. 25 — Nicole A. Brenneman, 39, of Evans City was caught allegedly using universal product code symbols with a value of $3.84 to purchase items that had a combined value of $265.56 at the Butler Commons’ Walmart.

She is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of retail theft.

2:50 p.m. Monday — A 71-year-old Pittsburgh man was hurt when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on Route 528 just east of Earls Lane Extension in Forward Township. Police said Gary A. Radford was not wearing a helmet.

A medical helicopter flew him to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh with unspecified injuries that were not believed to be serious.

5:05 a.m. March 9 — Donald W. Criley, 32, of Saxonburg lost control of his sport utility vehicle and struck a utility pole along Saxonburg Boulevard just south of Antosayk Lane in Clinton Township. He was not hurt but his vehicle had to be towed.

Police cited Criley for failing to give information or render aid after an accident, disregarding traffic lanes and not wearing a seat belt.

4:12 p.m. March 3 — A pickup truck driven by a Clearfield County man struck a mailbox, gas meter and tree stump along Winfield Road in Winfield Township. Ty A. Gornick, 22, of Clearfield was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Feb. 10 — A Westmoreland County teenager was arrested for DUI in Slippery Rock. He was pulled over on Fairview Drive for a window tint violation.

Police said the defendant, Sergei J. Slusarcyk, 19, of Derry, however, did not immediately stop. Instead, according to court documents, he slowed while southbound on Main Street and continued for four or five blocks before stopping.

Slusarcyk allegedly failed field sobriety tests, and a breath test later showed his blood alcohol level was 0.043 percent. In Pennsylvania, drivers under 21 are considered to be intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level of 0.02 percent or higher. The legal limit for adult drivers is 0.08 percent.

In addition to DUI, he is charged with DUI by a minor, underage drinking, minors prohibited from driving a vehicle with any alcohol in their system, driving a vehicle with improper sunscreening and an obscured license plate, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and careless driving.

4:43 p.m. Feb. 15 — Ashley N. Green, 36, of Butler was caught with suspected marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 28 north in East Deer Township, Allegheny County. Police said they stopped her because her windshield was “completely shattered.”

Green was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and several traffic violations, including driving with a suspended license and driving with an obscured windshield.
