ADAMS TWP — Two Mars Elementary School students were selected winners in the 2018-19 Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Alcohol Awareness poster contest.

Third-grader Abigail Schirato was selected as a first-place calendar winner and will have her artwork featured in the annual PLCB calendar.

Second-grader Camden Carrabba was named a second-place winner.

The students’ posters are among 43 selected from more than 425 entries in this year’s contest, which challenged students to create posters that promote safe and healthy alternatives to underage drinking.

All winners will be recognized at a ceremony April 3 at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.

The winning posters will be on display at the museum April 1 to 5.
