11:27 a.m. Feb. 20 — A vehicle driven by Adrian Q. Nicelli, 18, of Butler rear-ended another vehicle on New Castle Road at Butler Commons. The other driver, Laura Graham, 49, of Cabot, suffered an apparent neck injury. Police said Graham refused medical treatment at the scene, but she drove herself to an unspecified hospital for treatment. Nicelli was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

Wednesday — Police reported they are investigating a burglary last week at a 21-year-old woman’s apartment on Normal Avenue in Slippery Rock. Several unspecified items were taken in the break-in between 6:30 and 11:30 p.m. Feb. 18. The investigation continues, according to a police report, which did not indicate if there are any suspects.

7 a.m. Tuesday — An Armstrong County woman was injured when she lost control of her car and hit a guardrail on Route 228 east near Kenney Lane in Clinton Township. Tiffany M. Jones, 22, of Ford City suffered a minor injury. Jones’ passenger was not injured. Both occupants were wearing seat belts. Police cited Jones for disregarding traffic lanes.

5:22 a.m. Monday — Timothy J. Ealy, 28, of Boyers was not injured when a tree fell onto the front of the pickup truck that he was driving on Mahood Road just south of Brown Lane in Oakland Township. His truck had to be towed.

Monday — Denise L. Platt, 25, of Butler was charged in connection with an incident with police earlier this month at the Beacon Hotel in Penn Township. Police said that around 8:15 p.m. Feb. 8, Platt resisted arrest by troopers called to assist an ambulance crew at the business on Beacon Road. A police report noted that she was “highly intoxicated.” Platt is charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

9 p.m. Sunday — James C. Dunmyre, 57, of Connoquenessing lost control of his pickup and struck a guardrail on Route 528 just south of Upper Harmony Road in Connoquenessing Township. Dunmyre, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured, but his truck had to be towed. Police cited him for driving on the wrong side of the road.

8:28 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Devin R. Reynolds, 20, of Grove City struck a tree that had fallen onto Route 173 just north of Weaver Lane in Slippery Rock Township. Neither Reynolds nor his passenger were hurt, but the car had to be towed.

10:26 a.m. Sunday — Valarie R. Perfors, 32, of Butler lost control of her car, crossed the opposing lane and struck a utility pole and fence along Lardintown Road in Clinton Township. Police said she fled the scene. Perfors was cited for failing to immediately notify police of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, driving on the wrong side of the road and not wearing a seat belt.

1:43 a.m. Saturday — A New Castle teenager was injured when the sport utility vehicle he was driving struck a tree along Route 108 just west of Stoughton Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said 19-year-old Brock C. Bango was taken to Grove City Medical Center with a suspected minor injury. He was wearing a seat belt. His vehicle had to be towed. Police cited him for driving too fast for conditions and disobeying traffic control devices.

11:14 a.m. Feb. 20 — Adam J. Lisseski, 35, was arrested after he allegedly strangled a 35-year-old woman during a domestic dispute on Sandy Hill Road in Clinton Township. Lisseski was arraigned on a felony charge of strangulation, a misdemeanor charge of simple assault and a summary charge of harassment. He was released Monday from the Butler County Prison after posting $5,000 bail.

8:59 a.m. Feb. 20 — A Westmoreland County teenager lost control of his car and struck an embankment on Mahood Road just west of Carl Lane in Clay Township. The car, driven by Lawrence H. Kramer, 18, of North Irwin, rolled over before landing back on its wheels. Neither Kramer nor his passenger, Brandon H. Graham, 21, of Karns City, was injured. The car had to be towed. Police cited the teen for driving too fast for conditions.

Feb. 20 — Jason D. McAnallen, 44, of Oakland Township was charged with being more than two-and-a-half times the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a July traffic stop in Center Township.

Police said they initially saw McAnallen’s pickup truck weaving on Route 8 in Butler Township. They followed the defendant onto McCandless Road, where he allegedly twice traveled off the right side of the road.

He showed impairment during field sobriety testing and police took him to the barracks in Butler Township for a breath test. His blood-alcohol level was 0.213 percent, according to court documents. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 is considered intoxicated.

McAnallen is charged with driving under the influence, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, speeding and careless driving.

7:24 a.m. Feb. 11 — Joyce A. Barnes, 52, of Sarver was injured when she lost control of her pickup truck and struck a utility pole along Watters Station Road just east of Marburger Road in Forward Township. Police said Barnes, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered an apparent minor injury. Her truck had to be towed. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

8:24 p.m. Feb. 10 — Levi C. Ifft, 26, of West Sunbury lost control of his pickup truck and struck a tree along Route 38 just north of Young Lane in Cherry Valley. Police said he fled the scene, His truck was later towed. Ifft was cited for failing to immediately notify police of an accident, driving at an unsafe speed and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.

7:05 p.m. Jan. 8 — One person was hurt when a minivan driven by Arthur G. Crawford, 50, of Foxburg struck a pickup truck on North Riverview Road just north of Route 68 in Hovey Township, Armstrong County. Shane A. Thompson, 46, of Emlenton was the other driver. Crawford’s passenger, Ruth A. Hicks, 35, of Parker, suffered an apparent minor injury. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to a police report. Both vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Crawford for driving too fast for conditions.

2:07 p.m. Jan. 30 — One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 south in Muddy Creek Township. The wreck occurred when a car driven by Haleigh S. Martin, 21, of New Castle struck the side of a box truck. Martin suffered an apparent minor injury. She and the other driver, John H. Herzog, 49, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, who was not hurt, were both wearing seat belts. Police cited Martin for driving too fast for conditions and driving a vehicle without insurance.
