BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, has Debby Shutak providing music Sunday.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The youth group of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, volunteers on a mission project Friday and Saturday at the same time its members will participate in a 30-hour famine. For more information contact Cherie Loomis.

Wheelchair escorts are to be at the VA Medical Center by 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

There will be a potluck dinner at noon Sunday. Take a dish to share. Service settings will be provided.

The contemporary worship planning team meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The men’s fellowship group will meet 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Quilters meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, followed by Bible study at 7 p.m.

The six-week Lenten study begins March 13. Books are available in the narthex now.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church meets at 1104 Pittsburgh Pike Road.

Wake Youth meets from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Skate Castle, 182 New Castle Road.

The church is accepting gently used rummage sale donations after the Sunday worship service.

CONCORD PRESBYTERIAN

Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, has Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. traditional worship service.

A mission soup supper fundraiser is 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Cookie donations are welcomed.

There will be a worship and music committee meeting after the Sunday worship service.

Just4Kids meets from 6 to 8 p.m. March 1.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will have the offering of loose change during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The Seekers topical discussion class meets at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the Assembly Room.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., has ladies Bible study at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Dittmer home.

The church has family game night at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Baptist Youth Center. Take a dish to share, a 2-liter bottle of soda and a favorite game.

Sunday’s service schedule begins with 9:45 a.m. Sunday school classes followed by an 11 a.m. worship service. There will also be a 6 p.m. worship service.

The Deaf Café is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Baptist Youth Center. Take a lunch. There will be fellowship, a devotional and a guest speaker.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

After the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service, children and adults at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will gather for lunch, conversation and an outing to Family Bowlaway, 540 Fairground Road.

The 9:15 a.m. Sunday school will include a craft project. Finance committee meets at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., celebrates Holy Communion at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, is open to the public 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. No proof of income is required.

Each family may fill one large bag. Donations of only clothing are accepted at the church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday or anytime Grace’s Closet is open. Call ahead to schedule drop off more than four bags of clothing.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets each Sunday for a 10 a.m. worship service at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Tom Walker provides the music at the Sunday worship service.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The session of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., meets at 7 p.m. Thursday in the board room.

The youth spaghetti fundraiser is 5 p.m. Sunday. GriefShare meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Board Room.

AA meets at noon Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall.

NORTH WASHINGTON

North Washington Presbyterian Church, 714 Fairview Road, North Washington, will have a traditional worship service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday followed by Sunday school at 10:45 a.m.

Old Union PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, has been asked by the Butler County Drug and Alcohol Program to form a focus group to discuss addiction and drug and alcohol use. This will be a one-time hour commitment in March or April. See Peter if interested.

ORCHARD HILL BUTLER COUNTY

Orchard Hill Butler County meets at 107 Staley Ave.

Family movie night is 7 to 9 p.m. March 8 at 107 Staley Ave. The movie will be “Smallfoot” and popcorn will be provided. If interested, email Pastor Brady at brandall@orchardhillchurch.com.

St. Luke’s Lutheran

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, celebrates Communion at both worship services Sunday.

Teens (grades 9-12) will have a ski weekend at Blue Knob Ski Resort Friday to Sunday.

The sanctuary will be open 6 to 8 p.m. Monday for community quiet time and prayer.

The Fellowship for Christian Stewardship hosts a free college information night at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Centennial Hall. The sewing ministry meets 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fellowship Hall.

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will have 6 p.m. Saturday worship service and 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Sunday worship services.

Sunday school is 9 a.m.

Confirmation is 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

The evangelism committee meets 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Eve’s Bible study meets at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Bell choir practice is 7 p.m. Tuesday. More ringers are needed, no experience necessary.

Children’s hour meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Kids ages 2 and up are welcome.

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will host a discussion of the book, “360 Health” at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The health and wellness ministry meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

There is a meeting at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 28 at Panera Bread, 330 New Castle Road, for all interested in helping with April’s mystery dinner.

Valencia presbyterian

The quilting group of Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., meets 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 2. Take lunch and a quilting project.

An Ash Wednesday service will be at 7:30 p.m. March 6 with imposition of ashes and Communion.
