Maridon begins 'Favorites' film series
The Maridon Museum will present a spring film series “Presenter’s Favorites” starting March 14.
The series will include:
“Thermae Romae,” March 14.
Lucius, an ancient Roman architect, time travels to modern Japan and learns many techniques to build an amazing bath house back in Rome.
“Youth,” March 28.
The film chronicles the lives of a group of idealistic adolescents performing with a military art troupe in the People’s Liberation Army during the Cultural Revolution.
“The Third Murder,” April 25.
Tomoaki Shigemori is a lawyer tasked with defending a client, who faces the death penalty if found guilty in a murder trial.
“Shoplifters,” May 3.
On the margins of Tokyo, a dysfunctional band of outsiders is united by fierce loyalty and a penchant for petty theft.
Films begin at 6 p.m. at the museum at 322 N. McKean St.
