Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will host A Sweet Stroll Through Maple History, about how sap taken from a maple tree becomes syrup, will take place at 2 p.m. March 3 at Jennings. No registration is needed for this annual free program, but arrive on time to get a seat for this popular program. “Step Into Snowshoes” continues through February when conditions are suitable. Snowshoes are available to borrow for free and use within the park on a first-come, first-served basis from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and on snowy Saturdays. One person in the party must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. Call 724-794-6011 to check snow depth and trail conditions.

Moraine State Park is partnering with the PA Fish and Boat Commission to hold a Women’s Intro to Fly Fishing Program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 23 at State Park Region 2 Conference room, 195 Park Road, Prospect. The fishing license requirement is waived for participants age 16 and older. Registration is required in advance, and space is limited. Register deadline is 4 p.m. March 10.
