Missing Slippery Rock man found dead from suicide

The search for a missing Slippery Rock man wanted by police on child porn charges has ended.

A person walking Saturday in state game lands in Cherry Township found the body of Richard Dale Dublin who had been missing since Feb. 4.

Police have been looking for Dublin, first a missing person and then wanted in connection with a warrant for child porn charges filed Feb. 11.

County Coroner William Young said Dublin committed suicide. An autopsy is not usually conducted in a suicide death, he said.

State police said Dublin was last seen about 1 p.m. Feb. 4 at his home in Slippery Rock Township. He left his family a letter and apparently turned off his cell phone.

Investigators found his 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer the morning of Feb. 6 in a parking area on Pennsylvania Game Commission property near Route 308 in Cherry Township.
