Registered sex offender accused of sexually touching young girl
A young girl accused a 50-year-old of sexually touching her over the last year or two while she was living with him.
In 1995 Donald Patrick Kerry of Chicora was labeled as a lifetime sex offender in the state's registry after being charged with aggravated indecent assault. Last week, the girl told State Police that Kerry inappropriately touched her during numerous incidents in her home. Kerry told police that the incidents were an accident on his part. He characterized the alleged sexual encounters as games that included wrestling and shoving a snowball down the girl's pants.
Police charged Kerry with the felonies of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor.
In Kerry's previous case, he was sentenced to one year of probation after offering no contest to charges of indecent assault and exposure.
