SAXONBURG — “Going to College without Going Broke” will be presented at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church’s Centennial Hall, 110 State St.

Beverly Miller, a Ramsey Solutions master financial coach, will discuss whether and when to go to college, how to minimize the cost and maximize degree value and how to pay for college.

The college information night is free and open to the public. The event is being sponsored by the Fellowship for Christian Stewardship of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Saxonburg. Miller also is a member of the FCS board.

JEFFERSON TWP — HIS Kids Christian School, 650 Saxonburg Road, is accepting applications for full-day kindergarten through sixth grade and HIS Kids Preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds and 4- and 5-year-olds.

The Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry will host “Making the Most of Your Piece of Nature” from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Succop Theater at Butler County Community College, 107 College Drive.

This free workshop offers information on sustainably managing land and increasing its environmental benefits. Experts will discuss native landscape plants deer don’t like to eat, landscape trees, native pollinators and more.

Local nonprofits and service providers also will share resources.

CRANBERRY TWP — Victory Family Church, 21150 Route 19, will host a conference on marriage March 29 and 30.

Jimmy Evans, founder and CEO of MarriageToday, and other speakers will bring the XO Conference to the church. The conference is a two-day experience that provides expert marriage advice and practical teachings to help couples navigate their marriage.

JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley School District will have its second school impact presentation, “Teenage Vaping, Drinking and Drugs,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Seneca Valley Senior High School Auditorium, 128 Seneca School Road.

These programs are not recommended for children. Child care will be provided.
